Do you have squat-proof leggings? 3 ways to tell

One of the biggest benefits of slipping into a pair of leggings is that it feels like you aren't wearing any pants at all. But while you might want it to feel that way, you definitely don't want it to look that way.

Walking around town in leggings that show off every detail of your panties can be embarrassing, to say the least. That's why you should always perform "The Test" to make sure you have non see-through and squat-proof leggings.

In this guide, we'll show you three methods to find out if your leggings are thick enough to keep your unmentionables hidden. Keep reading to learn more

1. Check the Material

If you're shopping for leggings in a store, pick them up and feel the material. Does it feel thin between your fingers? Then it probably won't do a good job concealing your panties.

You can also try holding it up to the light. Can you see shapes through it? While it might not be quite as see-through when you put it on, this isn't a good sign.

If you're shopping for leggings online, take a look at what they're made out of. Nylon is flexible, but it doesn't have a lot of substance to it, so it will probably be more revealing than you want.

Stick with leggings that are made primarily from polyester instead.

2. Put on your Brightest Pair of Panties

Want to test the leggings before you buy them? Wear your brightest pair of panties to the store (if you're shopping online, you can do this when they arrive and return them if they don't pass).

Slid on the leggings and do some basic movements, such as bending over or sitting back on your hip.

Do you see the color of the panties through the material?

If so, you should avoid these leggings. You'll have to wear neutral colors underneath them every time you put them on, which can be a hassle.

3. Do the Squat Test

One of the best tips for finding squat-proof leggings is to do "The Test."

Put on your leggings and stand in front of a mirror. Then bend over or squat and take a look at what's happening back there.

You shouldn't be able to see any underwear or panty lines through the material. But that's the only thing you need to look for.

Did the waistline slide down? Your leggings should stay in place when you squat, so if they don't reveal your underwear through the fabric but show the top of your panties, they do not pass the test!
